The Battle that Rages Around Us

by Justin Lambert

Our Story

Every decision we make is shaped by a clear sense of purpose. Our journey has been anything but ordinary. Through every step, we've focused on staying true to our values and making space for thoughtful, lasting work.

What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. We’re proud of where we’ve been and even more excited for what’s ahead.

A New Genre

of

Urban Fantasy

This Urban Fantasy Series is a new genre, in which the paranormal is “nested” inside the normal. The hope is to not only entertain the reader but challenge your real world understanding of the paranormal, angels, demons and how they may interact even in your daily life.

The entire series, is written typically alternating from the chapters in which we present the Real world story, in which you have a incredible story line with intense character development, heroic protagonists, antagonists that are evil incarnate, page turning rising action, with a climax and satisfying resolution written of course by a witty, handsome and albeit humble author.

At the end of that chapter, my sincere hope left begging for more  and then continue to the next chapter as your then are then invited back to the beginning of the previous chapter  you just completed.  In which a separate story line of the spiritual war between Angels and Demons is revealed between the paragraphs of what you just read.  The first book is included as an anchor in a grayed out format while the spiritual world is written in purple colored font  allowing you to review and remember the nuances of the previous story.  Both stories complement each other in an attempt to lift the veil and reveal mysteries that we all inherently know are hidden and lying under the surface of the real world around us.

As an avid reader of fantasy and sci-fiction I have often found that the best of these genres has an air of possibility.  Sci-fi enthusiasts nerd out over books like The Martian, by Andy Wier, (I included) because he took the time to ensure that math and engineering worked or at least was highly probable.  Countless blogs and pages are dedicated to disproving or proving Mr. Wier’s claims abound!  For the nerd, (again I am looking in the mirror) this is entertainment at its finest, for the rest of us, we just smile as they then pull out their 20 sided die and ask us to join in a quick game of D&D, but we politely decline and say, “let’s do lunch,” or  “no that’s ok, I have your number, I will call you.”

With this in mind, I have taken this one step further and thanks to the advent of the hyperlink, I have added evidence to the hypothesis I present in these pages as supporting documentation in the footnotes in both books.  I reference, locations, intellectual papers published, works of art  as well many, many cultural references that are embedded in this story, which I believe adds color to our otherwise dreary, black and white existence.

I have done this as a higher level invitation to not just provide an entertaining story, but for those so inclined, invite you on this writer’s journey that has taken me many years to produce.   If you are intrigued, then clink the links in the footnotes and dive deep.  Follow me down the rabbit hole while we attempt to unearth the truth.  If not, ignore the footnotes enjoy the story for the entertainment it was meant to provide.  Either way, I hope you are fascinated!

I am sure many will disagree.  I am sure many will rant, rail, and rage at the theories and assertions presented in the volumes to follow.  But is that not the point?  Is that not why we are drawn in to the stories and prose of which it is the authors job to illicit the extreme range of emotions from the reader?  Is that not what we crave?  Through the author’s words, do we not want to be taken to a place of absolute beauty where the blue of a tropical lagoon is so perfect, so idyllic,  that those combinations of greens and blues hurt the eyes?  Or we become voyeurs and witness, intense, sadness and tragedy that in so doing leaves behind tear soaked pages, or in this day of age, screens?

Hopefully, I have done my job well and your roller coaster of extreme range of emotions awaits and my job as your neighborhood friendly emotional vampire is complete.

One final warning.  The topics discussed, presented, are definitely not for children.  I am conflicted with writing this warning, because as the warning has been issued, it will naturally draw young readers to these pages.  The concepts I present are very adult in nature, risqué initially by design and exposing the dark tendencies we sometimes crave, and for those experienced have become stories of legends with our friends. I present this warning, because in today’s culture the innocence of childhood is often relegated as an afterthought instead of a critical pillar of our civilization.  Please consider this before you allow your teens, and definitely not the pre-teen to read, the following words.

However, in the following books, I present an alternate perspective of those legendary nights of our youth.  Some of us mature over time and see the folly for what truly was, others constantly think of those glory days, relive, retell and the legend grows in our mind to something else entirely.  Regardless of your sensibilities, I hope you enjoy this work of fiction, or is not?

Sincerely,

Justin Lambert

Going Deep

As an avid reader of fantasy and sci-fiction I have often found that the best of these genres has an air of possibility.  Sci-fi enthusiasts nerd out over books like The Martian, by Andy Wier, (I included) because he took the time to ensure that math and engineering worked or at least was highly probable.  Countless blogs and pages are dedicated to disproving or proving Mr. Wier’s claims abound!  For the nerd, (again I am looking in the mirror) this is entertainment at its finest, for the rest of us, we just smile as they then pull out their 20 sided die and ask us to join in a quick game of D&D, but we politely decline and say, “let’s do lunch, no that’s ok, I have your number, I will call you.”

With this in mind, I have taken this one step further and thanks to the advent of the hyperlink, I have added evidence to the hypothesizes I present in these pages as supporting documentation in the footnotes in all books.  I reference, locations, intellectual papers published, works of art, as well many, many cultural references that are embedded in this story, which I believe adds color to our otherwise dreary, black and white existence.

I have done this as a higher level invitation to not just provide an entertaining story, but for those so inclined, invite you on this writers journey that has taken me over many years to produce.   If you are intrigued, then clink the links in the footnotes and dive deep.  Follow me down the rabbit hole while we attempt to unearth the truth.  If not, ignore the footnotes enjoy the story for the entertainment it was meant to provide.  Either way, I hope you are fascinated!

Be forewarned. Reading the footnotes first is the mother of all SPOILERS. So please don’t. I know by saying this many of you will charge ahead and pursue the site. Just let me ask you this. How would you have felt about Dolby if you knew his outcome, or if you knew in The Sixth Sense that Cole could “talk to dead people” in BEFORE the opening credits?

I have spent YEARS of my life in an attempt to write a story that will illicit a range of emotions from you, for my your enjoyment. Therefor, I highly recommend to read books in order and look at the footnotes for each book either while reading the book, or after you finish for a deeper dive, because the real truth of the matter might just be something different than what you currently believe.

Or don’t, and simply enjoy my visions of fancy that what started as an idea, has very much become my muse.

I sincerely hope you enjoy!
